Carroll County Cattlemen’s Association
As part of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce Agribusiness Committee, the Carroll County Cattlemen’s Association helped serve over 400 pounds of hamburger and 200 pounds of sausage at the Carroll County Fair. Proceeds will be used to promote Carroll County farm fresh food products including beef.
The Carroll County Cattlemen’s Association and the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce will be co-hosting a farm/city evening at the Jim & Marsha Long Farm on September 13. Ohio Department of Agriculture Director Robert Boggs will be a special guest at that event.
The Carroll County Cattlemen’s Association worked three shifts at the Ohio State Fair, in the Steak Barn and Taste of Ohio Café, with the help of some Jefferson County folks. It was a great chance for some members to visit the fair and promote beef.
The Carroll County Cattlemen’s Association and the Columbiana-Trumbull-Mahoning Counties Cattlemen’s Association held a joint summer picnic and farm tour at John McKarns’ farm on August 19. Over 100 people joined them for this event.
